Legal Framework:

  • Enacted in 2010, this law regulates organic agriculture in Serbia. Link to the law

  • It prescribes the conditions for the production, processing, storage, transport, labeling, and marketing of organic products.
  • It establishes rules for the certification and control of organic products.

Regulations:

Regulation on Control and Certification in Organic Production and Organic Production Methods (Službeni glasnik RS, br. 95/20 i 24/21):

  • It defines the criteria for certification.
  • It regulates the inspection and supervision procedures.

Regulation on Documentation Submitted to the Authorized Control Organization for Issuing Certificates, as well as on the Conditions and Methods of Selling Organic Products (Sl. glasnik RS”, br. 88/16):

  • It regulates the record-keeping of organic products and their movement through supply chains.
